Avital Skolnick

I was born in Northern Israel on the hills of the Galilee and lived for many years in Israel prior to moving to Boston.

My life experiences have influenced my artwork. My paintings often include
themes of water, light and journeys to and from destinations that are open to the
interpretation of the viewer. I work primarily with acrylic and enjoy discovering the different personalities of color combinations that reflect the feel and emotions of people and their environments.

I have been inspired by my talented teachers who have excelled both in teaching
technical skills as well as helped me discover the artist’s soul in my work.
